Are you a dynamic and motivated Public Relations Manager?
The Centre for Ecology & Hydrology is seeking a proactive and experienced individual to contribute to the development and implementation of an external communications strategy that supports CEH research initiatives and maximises the impact of CEH’s scientific outputs. Specifically, your role will be to provide direction, co-ordinate and deliver, the communications and outreach activities within key CEH projects.
You will have extensive experience and understanding of the key issues surrounding corporate communications including event/project management, sponsorship, media relations and new media development. Your strong written and oral communication and organisational skills should be combined with a proven ability to deliver to deadlines. In addition you will be expected to demonstrate an ability to anticipate problems and proactively find effective solutions in line with the scientific and business aims and objectives of CEH.
An understanding of environmental science is desirable, but minimally an up to date knowledge of public environmental debate and experience of working with complex subject matter.
The salary for this post is £30,710 progressing to £37,120 per annum. In addition NERC offer a public sector pension scheme, 30 days’ annual leave and 10½ days’ public and privilege holiday per annum.
