PEER News / December 2011

Dear reader,

The issue of December provides with a versatile picture of recent
and ongoing PEER activities: From the publication of a position paper
on ecotoxicology to the outcome of our successful scientific conferences organised over the fall, which saw the participation of 360 people in total.
Also, I would take the opportunity to invite you to attend the European Science Open Forum (ESOF) 2012, which will take place
on the 11th-15th July in Dublin, where PEER and ALTER-Net will jointly lead a session.
The latest developments in water research, on pesticides, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change,  as well as the environmental and socio-economic role of the European forests are only a taste of the topics you will find hereafter.
Hope you will enjoy going through the overall assortment!
