We would be delighted if you are able to come and join us for what we are sure will be a stimulating and interesting evening.

PEER is a partnership of the eight largest European environmental centres founded in 2001.  The Partnership’s joint strategy aims to promote collaboration in environmental sciences and enhance research on ecological sustainability.  PEER member centres carry out basic and applied research combining different disciplines from natural and social sciences. Research covers all fields of the environment, particularly addressing the interaction between people and nature.

PEER has implemented a number of ‘flagship projects’ over the past 15 years centred on topics as diverse as climate change, water management, ecosystem services, biodiversity, land use, nitrogen pollution, and the green economy.  Our past collaboration gives us insight into future challenges for the next 15 years and potential research needs to inform European policy and enhance innovation.

We look forward to meeting you in Brussels, yours sincerely on behalf of all PEER Partners,

Georg Teutsch, Director of Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ), Germany
