Together with this community, we have achieved our aim of developing a robust and trust-worthy science-policy-society process. Together with Alternet, we have achieved our aim of handing the Eklipse mechanism over to the broader community.

The decision was made in 2019 that Alternet and its consortium partners would take over management of the EKLIPSE Mechanism, now rebranded as Eklipse, effective from December 2020, at the end of the EU-financed period of the project.

This means that the main objectives of the EKLIPSE project have been achieved, namely to develop a mechanism and hand it over to the broader community. The outcome of this decision was the result of months of work and preparation by both teams to ensure a smooth transition of the mechanism, as the EKLIPSE project comes to an end, and the management of the autonomous Eklipse Mechanism is taken up by Alternet.
